Mental Strength Training

Would you like your coaches to communicate better with your players?
Would you like to accelerate learning in young players?
Would you like to Increase self confidence in your players?
Would you like your players to be mentally stronger on and off the pitch?

Mental Strength training is a vital and often neglected part of preparing elite athletes. Although as coaches we spend all week preparing and developing our footballers physically do we do enough to prepare them mentally for reaching peak performance week after week?

Having worked with a number of professional  and recreational footballers and clubs in the UK and Italy we have put together a Mental Strength Workshop specifically for football coaches.

It is with pleasure that we would like to announce our cooperation with Christian Lattanzio a Mental Strength specialist who works with a variety of people from elite athletes, professional footballers, business people, or individuals who are recovering from injury or surgery.

Christian and Mike Antoniades run Joint 2 day workshops for clubs and coaches on Mental and Physical Strength Preparation of Athletes.

This workshop is aimed at enthusiastic and motivated Coaches of academy and first team level who want to increase their level of understanding of mental strength training and improve the way they coach and their impact on their players’ performance. The workshops are not public courses, but are run at the club as part of in-service training, working specifically on the issues and weaknesses that you want to improve on.

By attending the workshops you will learn many practical and effective techniques that will enable you to be more effective:

  • How to establish a good relationship with between players by improving verbal and non-verbal communication.
  • How to instil confidence in players
  • How to make best use of team talks, before during and after a game.
  • How to deal with difficult players.
  • How to get players performing at their best during training and in games.

and much more.

Whether you are training to overcome an injury or surgery, or training to improve your performance, for work or for your sport, the Mental preparation is of equal importance to the physical preparation.

Some of the areas where people use Mental Strength preparation are:

  • Identify and transform limiting beliefs
  • Gain and develop a deep self-belief
  • Access your ideal state to work or perform
  • Understand and be able to handle any situation you might come across at work or in competition
  • Channel your energy in the most effective way
  • Recover easier and quicker from injuries
  • Transform anxiety into action
  • Improve any aspect of your game
