Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I benefit the most by seeing a mental strength trainer when I have a problem?

A: This is a very important question as one of the most common beliefs in sport and in business is that you only see a mental strength trainer when you are in trouble. However, if you think about it, you would not see a fitness coach only when you are not playing well. That would be absurd. You keep training your physical fitness regardless whether you are playing well or not. The same applies to mental strength. You need to train your mind on a regular basis in order to achieve your best results. Players that are doing well need to understand why they are doing well, so that they can recreate their successful mental state when things will be changing.

Q: Why would I need a Mental Strength coach?

A: Mental strength training is one of the methodologies that elite athletes and business people use to improve their potential and to help them achieve their goals. Athletes and coaches of any sport begin to appreciate and see the benefits of training their mind in a professional and effective way. Let me give you an example: in the 50’s almost no football club used to have full time fitness coaches or sport scientists or nutritionalists. Today it would be unthinkable to run a club (even a non professional side) without a fitness coach. Rest assured that athletes that make or made the difference in their sport such as Michael Jordan, Andre Agassi just to name a few, understand and use the power of mental strength training.

Q: Does mental strength training work for team sports?

A: This is another very important question as another belief held by many coaches in sport is that you can train mental strength in individual sports but not in team sports. A team is made up of individuals and that each individual needs to be at his/her best in order to give his/her team the best chance to succeed. Therefore mental strength training is very useful both for individual and team sports.

Q: Can I become a champion by using mental strength training?

A: Mental strength training, like any other form of training, cannot promise to make you a champion. In fact be aware of anyone that promises you that! What mental strength training can promise you is that it can effectively help you to become the best you can be.
